#ECUnited Grants Information

As part of the #ECUnited Initiative, students can apply for one-time Equity & Inclusion Grants to fund their new and creative ideas focused on influencing positive change within marginalized communities. The grant program is housed under the #ECUnited Steering Board and is administered by a subcommittee. The members are from the board and are a faculty, staff, and student.

#ECUnited Equity & Inclusions Grants are privately funded through gifts from Alumni, Community Members, and Organizations that both represent and support #ECUnited’s mission of bridging the worlds of ideas and actions. Eight grants will be given out each year totaling $500 each. Funds will be used to reimburse for programs or for direct purchases of items.

Providing seed money for students gives them the opportunity to creatively tackle issues that impact marginalized communities without the barrier of funding. The expectation is that these ideas will not only drive needed change within the community but will also encourage students to harness their creativity within an intellectual environment through connections with faculty, staff, alumni, and community resources – Public Service, Student Success, and Regional Transformation!
